Gilan Persian Restaurant

Gilan was conceived as a Persian restaurant in Dubai, inspired by the landscape, food and cultural identity of northern Iran. The concept drew particularly from Gilan, a region known for its dense forests, deep greenery and distinctive local cuisine.

Rather than reproducing a traditional northern Iranian setting, the design translated these references into a more contemporary dining environment. Green became the foundation of the color palette, supported by darker tones and warm materials that gave the restaurant greater depth and a more luxurious atmosphere.

The intention was for guests to feel as though they were entering an environment shaped by nature: rich, layered and slightly secluded. The darker background strengthened the presence of the green elements, while warm lighting prevented the interior from feeling cold or overly theatrical.
