Toranj Spanish Restaurant

Toranj was an approximately 500-square-meter Spanish restaurant in Dubai, designed through a combination of ornamental references and contemporary materials. The interior brought together arabesque patterns and selected details inspired by Spanish architecture, without turning the restaurant into a literal historical reproduction.

Glass and mirror were introduced alongside these decorative elements to give the space a more modern and visually layered character. Their reflective surfaces extended the patterns, multiplied the light and created changing views as customers moved through the restaurant.

A dark color palette and a series of distinctive architectural volumes gave the interior greater depth and a stronger sense of identity. The darker background also allowed the detailed forms, reflective materials and selected illuminated elements to become more visible.

The project's defining quality was the balance between ornament and modernity.
