Private Apartment

This private apartment in Tehran formed part of a residential development with an established classical and luxurious architectural identity. The project focused on its exterior spaces, where defining materials, including travertine stone, had already been selected and installed before the design process began.

The main challenge was not to replace this existing identity, but to work with it. Modern materials and simpler contemporary details were introduced carefully, allowing the outdoor areas to feel more current without creating a visual conflict with the classical architecture.

Travertine and other existing elements remained important parts of the composition, while new surfaces, lighting and landscape details were used to reduce formality and create a more comfortable residential atmosphere. Particular attention was given to the transitions between the two material languages so that neither the classical nor the modern elements appeared disconnected or added later.
